Mrs. Harwell

Hi! I am Mrs. Molly Harwell, and I am excited to be your dance teacher this year. I have been teaching for 15 years at Reagan High School. I also coached the Varsity Raiderettes Dance Team for about a decade, but I stepped down in order to spend more time with my family. I like to think of myself at the Raiderettes' biggest fan. I graduated from UNCG with a Major in Dance and a K-12 NC Teaching License. I am also a proud North Carolina Teaching Fellow. I grew up at a small private studio and mainly studied lyrical and ballet. But my favorite styles of dance are Jazz and Contemporary!

I am married to my sweetheart, Daniel and we have two boys, Nash (9) and Hayes (5). Nash loves baseball, football, video games, and fishing. Hayes is a bundle of energy, prefers to be in a costume versus regular clothing, and has never met a stranger.

Fun Facts: Daniel and I had burgers and fries at our wedding reception, my favorite color is sparkles, I never leave the house without earrings or mascara, I love taking Pilates and yoga, I adore Taylor Swift, Beyoncé, and Celine Dion, and I LOVE going out dancing with friends. I also am terrible at remembering song lyrics, consistently mix up my right and left, and cannot ice skate/roller skate without clinging to someone's hand. My favorite places in Winston-Salem are: Louie and Honey, Dough Joes, Cugino Forno, Rooster's, ROAR, the Ramkat, and Bailey Park. 

My family is very active in our church, and my faith is the most important part of my life. If you ever need prayer for something going on in your life, please stop by my office and I would be honored to pray for you. I care about you and your well-being in my class. I am so excited to spend time together dancing this year!! Reagan Dance Department is a special place, and I love teaching here. Plus, I have the best co-worker ever.

 Mrs. Astuto

Hi everyone! My name is Erin Astuto. This is my 8th year teaching at Reagan, and I am the proud head coach for the varsity dance team, the Raiderettes! I graduated from UNCG with my BFA in Dance with K-12 Licensure and had amazing experience there including studying abroad in Northern Ireland and performing at the Kennedy Center. I love a good jazz or contemporary class, but tap forever has my heart. My husband, Kevin, and I have a 1 year old son, Owen, who is just the best and most fun kid. We also have two Golden Retrievers, Norbert and Luna, who are named after Harry Potter characters because we are proud nerds. I also really love chicken minis, burgers, Jesus, and Gilmore Girls but not necessarily in that order. I'm known in our department for making really cheesy jokes, catch phrases and puns, ab series that are hated by everyone (including myself), and hating on anyone who doesn't eat pineapple on pizza. Also, bonus points to anyone who can keep track of how many times I say, "does this make sense?" throughout the year. I am so blessed to work in this department and be a part of this special community. Plus, I have the best co-worker ever.
