Optional Pre-Tryout Clinic in the Dance Studio at Reagan - date TBD

This clinic is open to rising freshmen - seniors and allows you to see what skills you might need to work on before tryouts in April. Each dancer will receive individual feedback from a coach. This clinic is completely optional. Check back later to register!

Tryouts April 21st-24th 4-6pm in the RHS Gym

Dancers are expected to be at tryouts each day. Please email the coach with conflicts (moving to the area, competitions, family trips, etc.)

Required Skills

Advanced dance technique specifically in jazz and hip hop
Double & triple pirouette (right & left)
Right & left leaps
A la second turns – at least 4 turns into a double pirouette (right)
*Recommended: combination second turns (ex: floats, reverse changing spots, around the worlds)
Center/side leaps (right & left)
Calypso (right & left)
Tilt jump (right)
Switch arabesque (brush the right leg across first)
Firebird (right leg in front)
Alternating kicks for sidelines and kicklines
Special skills such as an tumbling or hip hop tricks are welcome and can be showcased at tryouts!
